Care of the Tukuan skirt

Tukuan customers often ask us how to properly care for the skirt. At Tukuan, natural fibers that are made to last are the raw materials of our skirts. For this reason, our products are made primarily of wool, which requires specific care. Here are the three ways to care for the versatile Tukuan skirt:

Dry cleaning

The first suggested maintenance for Tukuan products is dry cleaning at a dry cleaner. Dry cleaning, once or twice a year, preserves the fiber and the leather band to ensure that our skirts will last a lifetime. We recommend turning to eco-friendly cleaners for cleanings done in the most environmentally friendly way possible. Hand wash with cold water

The second suggested maintenance for Tukuan skirts is cleaning with a damp cloth. We suggest you use a damp cloth with cold water on the stains and the leather band as needed. If the stains are persistent, we suggest using a small amount of laundry detergent on the damp cloth.

Washing machine cleaning, cold water and delicate cycle

The last suggested maintenance for the winter skirt is to wash it in the washing machine with cold water and delicate cycle. The water temperature should not exceed 30 degrees Celsius and the skirt should not be dried in the washing machine to avoid shrinkage.

It is however recommended to iron your Tukuan skirt when it becomes wrinkled. It is possible to iron the products at medium temperature or with a steam iron. It is very important to make sure that the temperature does not exceed 110 degrees Celsius in order to preserve the size of the skirt.
That's it! We hope you will keep your TUKUAN skirt as long as possible and that your children and grandchildren will enjoy it too. Thank you for encouraging eco-responsible fashion.
